The Bloom Seat
How It’s Made
Every Bloom Seat is a true original—crafted one at a time, by hand, from slabs of fine porcelain clay. I texture the surface with custom tools to create a barrel cactus shape. The result is a sturdy, sculptural base—just the right height for putting up your feet or taking a seat.
Once fired, the seat is glazed in layers of organic colors—painted, poured, and splashed for a unique, flowing finish.
The hand-hooked wool blossom cushion, made by me, tops the piece with warmth and softness—a final bloom of fiber art.

The Bloom Seat is a handcrafted porcelain stoneware footstool inspired by the organic form of a barrel cactus. I carefully shape and texture each stool by hand. Each one is glazed in vibrant, flowing colors, and topped with a soft, hand-hooked wool blossom cushion I fashion from wool.
It’s part ceramic sculpture, part fiber art, and 100% designed to bring a moment of rest and presence into your day.
